Child Safety Standards

Date Africa Diamonds is strictly for adults. Our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation, how to report a concern, and how we respond.

Who operates this service

Date Africa Diamonds is operated by BrandXperts & Digital Marketing. These Child Safety Standards apply to the Date Africa Diamonds mobile app (Android package com.dateafricadiamonds.app) and this website.

Our position

Date Africa Diamonds is an adults-only dating platform for people aged 18 and over. There is no version of this service for minors, and no circumstance in which a minor is permitted to hold an account.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We prohibit it in every form, absolutely and without exception. That includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualised depiction of minors, grooming, solicitation, sextortion, trafficking, and any attempt by an adult to make sexual contact with a minor.

There is no warning and no second chance for this category. Offending accounts are removed permanently, and we cooperate with the appropriate authorities where required by law.

Minimum age requirement

  • 18 or over. Everyone must provide a date of birth at sign-up and attest that they are an adult.
  • Enforced at the database. The 18+ rule is enforced in our data layer, not only in the app, so it cannot be bypassed by a modified client or a direct API call.
  • Identity verification. Members can verify their identity with a document and a selfie, reviewed by a trained reviewer. This raises the difficulty of a minor holding a convincing account.
  • Suspected minors are removed. Where we believe an account holder is under 18, we suspend the account pending review and delete it if the concern stands. We do not require proof from the reporter.

Prohibited content and conduct

The following result in immediate, permanent account removal and may be reported to law enforcement:

  • Any sexual content involving a minor, in any medium (CSAM).
  • Sexualised commentary about a minor, including about someone shown in a photograph.
  • Any attempt to contact, groom, solicit, meet or obtain images from someone under 18.
  • Sextortion, or threatening to share intimate images.
  • Trafficking of minors, or advertising sexual services.
  • Creating an account on behalf of, or while under the supervision of, a minor.

Our full behavioural rules are set out in the Community Guidelines and Safety Guidelines.

How to report a child safety concern

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Nothing you report to us should delay that call.

To report a concern to Date Africa Diamonds:

  • In the app — use the report option on the profile or in the conversation, and select the child safety reason. This is the fastest route because the relevant context is attached automatically.
  • By email — write to our monitored child-safety address at safety@dateafricadiamond.com. Child-safety reports are prioritised above all other queues.
  • Through this website — use the support form and select Report a safety concern.

You do not need proof and you do not need to be certain. A suspicion is enough — we would far rather review a report that turns out to be nothing. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith.

How we respond and enforce our standards

  • Child-safety reports are triaged ahead of every other report type.
  • A reviewer examines the account and the reported content, including the conversation where one is attached to the report.
  • Where the concern is substantiated, the account is permanently suspended and removed, and evidence is preserved for the authorities rather than deleted.
  • We take steps to prevent the same person creating another account.
  • We cooperate with law enforcement and act on valid legal requests from appropriate authorities where required by law.

Safety, reporting and blocking tools

  • Report — every profile and every conversation has a report option, with a dedicated child-safety reason.
  • Block — any member can block another at any time, which removes them from view and prevents further contact.
  • Identity verification — document and selfie verification, reviewed by a trained reviewer.
  • Human moderation — reports are reviewed by trained reviewers, not resolved automatically.
  • Permanent removal — accounts found to violate these standards are terminated, and we take steps to prevent re-registration.
