Community Guidelines

Be a real person. Be honest about what you want. Treat everyone here as someone’s daughter, son, sister or brother — because they are. And never ask another member for money.

The rest of this page is detail. If you follow those four, you will never fall foul of it.

• Use your own photos, recent enough that someone would recognise you.
• Be truthful about your age, your location and your situation.
• One account per person. Do not run duplicate or backup profiles.
• Do not present yourself as single if you are not, unless everyone involved knows and agrees.

Impersonating someone else, or using photos that are not yours, is grounds for immediate removal.

People come here for different things, and that is fine — but say which. Wasting someone’s time by pretending to want a relationship you do not want is a form of dishonesty this community takes seriously.

Asking another member for money, in any form, for any reason, is prohibited. That includes loans, emergencies, flights, medical bills, customs fees, visas, business opportunities, gift cards, cryptocurrency, and asking someone to receive or forward a payment on your behalf.

There is no innocent version of this on a dating platform. Accounts that do it are removed.

• No harassment, threats, intimidation or persistent unwanted contact.
• No hate speech or abuse based on ethnicity, nationality, tribe, colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or appearance.
• No sexual content sent to someone who has not asked for it. Ever.
• No sharing of private messages, images or personal details of another member without their consent.
• No pressure. “No” is a complete answer, and silence is a “no”.

The following result in immediate and permanent removal, and may be reported to law enforcement:

• Any sexual content involving minors, or any attempt to contact a minor.
• Human trafficking, exploitation, or coercion of any kind.
• Sexual services offered or solicited for payment.
• Threats of violence, or content that glorifies violence.
• Fraud, scams, phishing, or the theft of another person’s identity.
• Promotion of illegal goods, services or activity.

This is not a place to promote a business, recruit for a scheme, drive traffic to another platform, or collect followers. Bots, automation and bulk messaging are prohibited.

If someone breaks these guidelines, report them. You do not need proof, and you do not need to be certain — reporting a suspicion is exactly what the report button is for. You can also block anyone instantly, without warning them and without giving a reason.

Reports are reviewed against these guidelines. Depending on what we find, the outcome may be a warning, removal of content, restriction of features, or permanent removal from the services. Serious cases are removed immediately and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

We do not tolerate retaliation against someone for making a report.

If you cannot access the app, email safety@dateafricadiamond.com. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

If your account has been restricted or removed and you believe that was a mistake, write to support@dateafricadiamond.com and ask us to look again. The appeals process will be set out in full before launch.
